Olivia Miller Smith: DISC Assessments Can Help College Students

Author: Dr. Michael Ayalon September 17, 2026 Duration: 38:02

Olivia Miller Smith began her career as a Registered Nurse and transitioned to the corporate world founding and leading a multi-million dollar wholesale and manufacturing company. After a life-changing volunteer experience at the Tennessee Prison for Women, she was inspired to start the first non-profit transitional living facility for women in Williamson County, Healing Housing. As founder of Write A New Story Consulting, it is her passion to work with business leaders and teams to provide tailored training programs that transform organizational culture.

In episode 705 of the Fraternity Foodie Podcast, we find out what she learned about herself as a nurse all of those years, what was the common thread that connected of all of her various careers, what she learned about her strengths and weaknesses in entrepreneurship, what she would tell students who feel pressure to have life figured out at age 21, how DISC assessments can help college students, how a fraternity or sorority chapter could use DISC assessments to figure out which members go into which positions, what a people-first chapter would look like, how serving others will help you find your purpose, and what she would tell her 18-year-old self. Enjoy!
