Author: Jason Ferguson March 15, 2016 Duration: 2:05:40

Welcome to episode 100! This episode marks a huge milestone for us and to celebrate we decided to do something special. We partnered up with our good friends, Jerry Wofford of Tulsa world and Larry White, to record our first episode with an audience at the Woody Guthrie Center's theater.

The episode features Jerry as our co-host, a beer review by our friends over at Pubtalk Podcast, Producer, Drummer and Author Martin Atkins, Photographer Jeremy Charles and the folk duo, Desi and Cody

We are incredibly humbled by all the love and support we have received and would like to thank our partners, Jerry Wofford and Larry White for helping us plan the event and book amazing guests, our incredible guests for taking the time to be a part of the show, our friends and family who attended and the 99 guests of the podcast that have played a huge part in getting us to Ep. 100! Special thanks to the Woody Guthrie Center and The Hunt Club for making the event and the after party possible. We could not have done this without you!

There’s a certain magic that happens when creative people start talking without an agenda, just a shared curiosity about how things are made and why. That’s the feeling From a Basement in Tulsa captures each week. Hosted by Jason Ferguson, this podcast is built on the idea that the most genuine insights from musicians and artists don’t come from formal interrogations, but from the kind of meandering, comfortable chat you’d have backstage or in a quiet corner after a show. The conversations here are less about promoting a latest project and more about tracing the winding paths of a creative life-the early influences, the failed experiments, the quiet breakthroughs. You’ll hear from a wide spectrum of voices, from painters and sculptors to songwriters and performers, each sharing their process in a relaxed atmosphere. It’s this focus on authentic, laid-back discussion that makes the podcast a refreshing listen, offering a sense of connection to the human behind the art. Whether you’re an artist yourself or simply someone fascinated by the origins of compelling work, these dialogues provide a unique window into the diverse styles and personal backgrounds that shape our cultural landscape.
