003 being alone vs. feeling loneliness

003 being alone vs. feeling loneliness

Author: Meghan Puddington March 19, 2024 Duration: 42:58

Raise your hand if you’ve ever felt alone?

Like how about even in a crowd full of people? Or a busy house? Or an empty house?

How about just “alone” in a situation? Like no one could ever understand what you’re going through or where you’re at?

Today on the podcast we talk about how this touches people in all walks and seasons of life. And how we may be “alone” in the sense, but how to combat loneliness and feelings of isolation in the midst of that.

It’s an episode for everyone, for sure! Our prayer is that you’re encouraged and hear a little bit of your story in ours and know you’re seen and heard

Meghan Puddington hosts hard to hope, a space for conversations that sit at the messy intersection of faith and daily life. This podcast acknowledges a simple, often unspoken truth: when faced with personal loss, cultural shifts, or strained relationships, maintaining a sense of hope can feel like the most difficult work of all. Episodes explore this terrain without offering easy answers, instead focusing on the gradual process of moving through challenging seasons. You’ll hear reflections on cultivating an authentic spiritual life that doesn’t shy away from doubt or complexity, examining how Christian faith interacts with modern culture and our most personal connections. The dialogue is grounded in the shared experience that a genuine relationship with God isn’t separate from our struggles, but is often deepened within them. It’s for anyone who finds the title resonating-for those who know hope isn’t always a default feeling, but sometimes a choice forged through honest questioning and community. Tune in for a companionable voice on the journey, where the destination isn’t about ignoring the hard things, but learning to walk through them with a different perspective.
