Harvard College 2000 Podcast: Winnie Li

Author: Harvard College Class of 2000 January 16, 2025 Duration: 1:01:31

Eileen interviews Chief Marshal candidate Winnie Li in this new episode. Winnie Li is an author and activist who recently received her PhD in Media and Communications from the London School of Economics on emotional labor and sexual violence survivors in the media. In this inspiring conversation, Winnie reflects upon how the experience of rape in 2008 changed the trajectory of her life, and ultimately fueled her writing and activism. Winnie is the founder of Clear Lines, the UK's first festival addressing sexual assault and consent through the arts. She has published two novels, Dark Chapter and Complicit, and her third book, What We Left Unsaid, will be published this summer. At Harvard, Winnie Li lived in Hurlbut and Eliot House and was a Folklore and Mythology Concentrator, with a focus on Celtic Languages and Literature.
