What Is HeartCry? In Under Two Minutes

Author: Paul Washer August 10, 2023 Duration: 1:48
For more than three decades, HeartCry Missionary Society has made it our aim to give our lives so that Jesus Christ might receive the full reward for his suffering. We are determined to hold our course until His banner flies over every inch of the globe. HeartCry seeks to advance the Great Commission by supporting missionaries, training missionaries, resourcing missionaries, planting churches, and then declaring God's great works to God's people. As a young missionary in Peru, Paul Washer witnessed firsthand the advance of the gospel through indigenous evangelists, pastors, and teachers—sometimes despite tremendous hardship, a lack of formal theological education, and even a lack of resources. It became his conviction to form a society for the benefit of indigenous missionaries. From such a small and feeble beginning in 1988, God has now enabled us to support missionaries, distribute literature and scripture, buy land, construct chapels, and provide support and tools for evangelism for over 300 missionaries in over 60 countries and across 5 continents. "For from the rising of the sun, even to its setting," God says, "My Name will be great among the nations." (Malachi 1:11)

Paul Washer brings the earnest, challenging messages of the HeartCry Missionary Society directly to you through this audio collection. Here you will find a steady stream of sermons and biblical teachings, all centered on a deep, reformational understanding of Christian faith and practice. The content is uncompromising in its focus on the core doctrines of scripture, the necessity of genuine conversion, and the call to live a life fully devoted to God. Rather than offering light encouragement, these sessions delve into the weightier matters of sin, grace, and the glory of Christ, aiming to stir the listener’s heart toward sincere worship and missionary zeal. Each episode serves as an extension of the society's foundational work, supporting indigenous missionaries worldwide by grounding believers in solid theological truth. Tuning into this podcast means engaging with content that is both doctrinally rich and intensely practical, designed to confront complacency and ignite a passion for the supremacy of God in all things. The recordings, often drawn from live preaching events, carry a palpable urgency and a pastoral heart, making complex truths accessible to any earnest seeker. For those weary of superficial spirituality, this feed provides substantial nourishment directly from the pulpit to your daily routine.
