Nick Reiner and Lindsay Clancy Both Changed Meds — Look What Happened

Nick Reiner and Lindsay Clancy Both Changed Meds — Look What Happened

Author: True Crime Today September 11, 2026 Duration: 16:01

Rob and Michele Reiner spent years trying to save a son who sources say bragged about what he could get away with. They paid for treatment at a facility that reportedly charged seventy thousand dollars a month. They kept him in a guest house on their Brentwood property. They gave him ultimatum after ultimatum. According to sources, he took their money for drugs, destroyed the guest house more than once, threatened his sister, and laughed about the wreckage on a podcast. A grand jury has now added lying in wait to his murder charges — alleging he hid his intentions from the two people who trusted him most, waited for his moment, and attacked them inside their own bedroom with the intent to kill. Under California law, every piece of that charge requires a brain that is planning and choosing. Nick Reiner was diagnosed with schizophrenia and placed under a conservatorship for grave disability in 2020. His medication was switched weeks before December 14, 2025, and sources say doctors warned his parents the change could trigger worse behavior. Tony examines the lying-in-wait allegation against the full behavioral record and the comparison to Lindsay Clancy — who spent months following her doctors’ orders while her brain pulled apart underneath her. Nick Reiner has pleaded not guilty. Held without bail. Next hearing September 15.
