Ep 156 – Gender, I Hardly Know Her

Laird Leatherman Craig, our special guest, returns to join us in exploring what it means to exist as non-binary individuals in spaces traditionally defined by gender. We’re also joined by Haydan from Eagle Leather and Melbourne Rubber for this insightful conversation.

During our discussion, we delve into topics such as cis-presenting privilege within our transgender community, the vital aspect of radical visibility, and the implications of gendered titles like ‘LeatherMAN’ for individuals who don’t align with traditional gender identities.

Our conversation extends to the efforts made by some of our communities to create more inclusive spaces for non-binary individuals. We also reflect on the necessity of recognizing our own limitations, biases, and comfort levels when navigating gender-segregated environments, whether it’s dance parties, sex parties, or venues.

In addition, we have an exciting announcement from Melbourne Rubber, exclusively for our podcast listeners!

Regarding Episode 155, we encountered technical issues while recording our discussion with Jasper about Vac Play and restrictive bondage play. Unfortunately, the audio became corrupted due to gremlins in our sound desk. Rest assured, we are actively working on re-recording that episode with Jasper and plan to release it soon!
