Ever wondered what it actually takes to build a career behind the scenes in music? How I Got Backstage pulls back the curtain, hosted by Jade Driver and Cassie Petrey, the co-founders of the artist management and marketing firm Crowd Surf. Drawing from their offices in Los Angeles, Nashville, and New York, they share more than a decade of real-world experience, answering that persistent question about how to break in and thrive. This isn't just theory; it's filled with on-the-job stories, sometimes hilarious misadventures, and hard-won advice that turns inspiration into a practical roadmap. Each episode feels like a candid conversation with mentors who have been there, discussing the unglamorous hustle, the creative triumphs, and the network of relationships that make the industry spin. Tuning into this podcast, you'll find a genuine guide for crafting your own unique path, whether your dream role is in publicity, management, or any other corner of the business. Jade and Cassie built their own table, and now they're offering a seat, sharing the knowledge and connections that can help you stop wondering and start building your dream job in music.
