96 - 7 Lessons from my 7-Figure Mentor James Wedmore

Author: Michael Leonard: Copywriter & Freelance Writing Coach June 8, 2020 Duration: 30:30

In this episode, I share some secrets of working with my 7-figure mentor James Wedmore to help you build an online business of your dreams.

Here's a quick recap:

  • Work on yourself: If you want to become a successful entrepreneur for the long run, work on yourself as much as you work on your business. Your business is a direct reflection of you!
  • Grow a team: You can't build a million dollar business if you spend all of your time on $10/hour tasks. There's only so much time in the day and it's up to you to protect your time and stay in your zone of genius. Start outsourcing work so you can stay focused and make the impact and income you want to make.
  • Nail your niche: People want to follow and work with experts — no one is good at everything. If you don't niche down, you'll likely never get the results you want. It's up to you to find a niche and build a name for yourself. As you become more successful, you can always broaden out in the future.
  • Know your audience: Once you niche down, get to know your ideal audience as if you're a family member! The more you know them, the better content you can create to help them get results in their life or business.
  • Reframe how you think about selling: Adopt the mantra, "The transformation is in the transaction." The better you are at believing your stuff and knowing that people won't get results unless they invest in your stuff, the more success you will have.
  • Create an ascension model: Have a suite of products at different price points all about the same offer. Remember, there are always going to be individuals who want the VIP experience while others might want the lowest one. Having several offers will help you attract more people into your business.
  • Take more time off: I know this sounds counterintuitive but it really works. When you take time off, you can recharge, look at your business from a 30,000 foot view, and get clear on what you need to do next.

As Tony Robbins said, "Success leaves clues."

These clues from James Wedmore have helped me build a thriving online business and I wanted to share them with you.

In a post pandemic era, there has never been a better time to build an online business and share your gifts with the world.

Go out there and make it happen!
