Teenagers Wild Ride in Stolen Cherry-Picker: One Charge Remains

A teenager in Cork, Ireland, faces a single charge after a daring joyride in a stolen cherry-picker last November. Patrick Costin, 18, had a criminal damage count dropped, leaving him with the charge of allowing himself to be carried in the stolen vehicle. The cherry-picker was taken from Patricks Quay, with keys found in a compartment. Costin and others allegedly drove the vehicle through busy streets and pedestrian paths, causing chaos and risking everyones safety. The incident was captured on video and shared on social media. Gardai arrested Costin and others on South Gate Bridge. The prosecution dropped the extra charge, and the case is set for Cork District Court. Costin remains in custody until May 7th.
