The last of the summer wine for a former TV star

apologies ...been delayed starting 'black socks'. Writing is about as usefull as a handbrake in a canoe so need to push the adventure back to when I can give it time. Thank you if you're checking this stream out.

BTW -have a plan for filming 'Flight into Culfadda' this summer. A mix of 'Fr.Ted' and 'Black Mirror', written around the folk I can get to act ...def a jobsworth traffic controller, and an earnest newsreader, and a comedy duo making a mess of things, and AI doing its AI thing. Dunno why I'm telling ya that ...40% probable ...got two great actors and a top class editor so far, so if it happens there's a 56% chance you'll like it.

Ever wondered what happens when a spaceship lands in a Connemara bog, or how a time-travel paradox might be solved over a quiet pint? That’s the peculiar and wonderful territory explored in Irish Science Fiction. Each episode is a unique blend of the otherworldly and the everyday, crafted by writer and comedian Brian Sexton. You’ll find stories where futuristic dilemmas are filtered through a distinctly West of Ireland lens, complete with the dry wit, local character, and surreal humour that the region is known for. This isn't your typical sci-fi; it's a genre all its own, where cosmic adventures sit comfortably beside very human, and often hilariously relatable, observations. Tuning into this podcast feels like hearing a great tale in your local, one where the stakes just happen to be the fate of the galaxy. Brian weaves original narratives and jokes that are both inventive and grounded, creating a listening experience that’s as comforting as it is wildly imaginative. So if you fancy a journey to galaxies far, far away that somehow always feel like they’re just down the road, you’ve found your new favourite audio destination.
