Michael Losquadro, a Cal State Fullerton alumnus, is being honored with the Vision and Visionaries Award for his exceptional career in higher education advancement and community service. Starting as a grill cook, he earned his business management degree and rose to become a senior adviser in the UC and CSU systems. Losquadros involvement at CSUF led to roles in development at UC Irvine and Cal State Long Beach. He also volunteered for 21 years with the Orange County Sheriffs Department, becoming the first openly gay man to graduate from their academy. Losquadro and his husband recently made a significant gift to the university, funding scholarships and supporting the LGBTQ Resource Center.
