(Episode 82) Making Everything Grand with Mary Gonzalez

Author: Victor Sotomayor December 15, 2021 Duration: 50:36
Mary Elizabeth Gonzalez is Making Everything Grand. Here is what she wrote in her website: My name is Mary Elizabeth Gonzalez. I am 53 years young. I am divorced, a Mother, grandmother, sister, author and entrepreneur. Just 3 years ago, I was a shell of a woman who was going through the motions of life, just existing. I had hit my rock bottom three years after my Mother passed away. At 49, I had become tired of being tired with everything in my life. I was in a 26-year toxic marriage, 3 pounds shy of weighing 300 and depressed. It was by divine intervention that I embarked on a weight loss journey. In the process of losing 147 pounds, I gained so much that I never expected. I gained confidence, self-worth and a whole lot of self-love. Through my journey, I found my calling, something I didn’t even know I had or thought I was worthy of having. But God had plans for me. Not only did I realize I had purpose, I found myself walking in it. For the first time in my life, I’m living and not just existing. I’m here wanting to live in the wealth of my light and spread it to those who need it and can heal from it. What Am I doing now? What do you do when you lose 147 pounds? You teach others! I take on 6 clients a month and teach them what I did to lose weight. I show them how to shop, create their own plan and meal prep. Motivational speaking. Talking about my journey and how I dealt with and overcame a toxic, verbally abusive marriage. I talk about my Faith and how that has been thee most pivotal moment in my life. I also talk to young girls/ladies about the importance of self-esteem. I can now add author to my list of accomplishments. I wrote my first book! I am so very excited about that! Never in a million years would ever think that I, the one that couldn’t write an essay in high school to save my life, wrote a book! And yes! It is available here on my site. What’s next? More books, traveling the world sharing my story to as many people as I can. I want to inspire many and let them know that it’s never too late! https://makingeverythinggrand.com/about/

These discussions naturally weave through themes of society and culture, often touching on the personal journals and reflections that shape our experiences. It’s for anyone who appreciates the unvarnished truth and finds energy in authentic connection. Tuning in means joining a series of candid exchanges where inspiration isn’t a forced topic but a natural byproduct of honest talk. The rhythm of each episode is unique, guided solely by the guest and the moment, offering a refreshing departure from overly produced media. This podcast lives in the real, sometimes messy, always human moments between people who have something meaningful to share.
