Weather in a Minute 7/21/2026 A strong weather front coupled with a strong upper trough will set off thunderstorms, severe weather, flash flooding & a few tornadoes. The highest risk time will be this afternoon into tonight. Flash flooding from heavy rains is also a risk. The front will not pass through until Wednesday so there is some risk for a thunderstorm or two before drier air returns Thursday and Friday. Tropical Storm Bertha is in the Gulf of America with winds to 50 mph. Tropical Storm Warnings are posted for the Gulf Coast from the Florida Panhandle to Southeast Louisiana.
