#349: Rejoice in our Sufferings

#349: Rejoice in our Sufferings

Author: Jessica White October 23, 2024 Duration: 10:37
Romans 5:1-6. In today’s episode, we dive into the topic of suffering since some of you have been requesting this. Now, there is A LOT to teach kids about suffering  and we are only covering 1 sliver of this so make sure to address any questions they have since we can’t cover it all in 1 episode.   We’ll talk about what suffering is, what the Bible says about it, and how even difficult times can help us grow in our faith. We'll also hear from Paul, who faced many challenges like shipwrecks and imprisonment, and yet, told us why we are to rejoice in our sufferings. Kids will hear how suffering can produce endurance, character, and hope, and hear an encouraging example from nature about wildfires and new growth.   To enjoy the library of bonus content (coloring pages, sheets, memory verse, etc) for the episodes go here and click bonus content. It’s about making the foundational stories of Christianity accessible and meaningful for curious young minds, helping them find points of recognition between the lessons in the Bible and their own experiences at home, school, and play. Tuning in regularly offers a consistent, comforting touchpoint for spiritual exploration as a family.
