#425: Can We Look Like We Love God but Have Hearts Far From Him? - Mark . Part . 24

Author: Jessica White September 9, 2026 Duration: 19:48
Scripture: Mark 7:1–8, Romans 13 The Pharisees and teachers of the law looked devoted to God. They knew Scripture, followed many religious traditions, and appeared very obedient. But when they criticized Jesus’ disciples for eating without performing a ceremonial washing, Jesus revealed what was truly happening beneath their outward appearance: they honored God with their words, but their hearts were far from Him. In this episode, children will learn : 1. That good-looking actions do not always flow from a heart that loves God. 2. We’ll explore the difference between real fruit and “pretend fruit” 3. Discover how God’s commands show us what love looks like. 4. Remember that we obey God because He loved us first—not to earn His love or impress others. 5. We still obey even if we don't feel like it. BOTH options help support and get shout-outs! 1.
