Join CJ in this Mentoring Moment as we focus on the word "Retreat." 

A couple meanings of the word retreat include,

"A place of privacy or safety; refuge."

"A period of group withdrawal for prayer, meditation, study, or instruction."

In Mark 6:30-32 (NIV) we read these words of Jesus,

"The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught. Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, "COME WITH ME by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest." So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place." 

Jesus is inviting us to "come with Him" by ourselves to a quiet place. Of course, there are certainly times when we aim to get lots of writing done but there may be times during these virtual writing retreats when Jesus simply wants us to meet with Him and get on board with the things He desires to do in and through us.
