Welcome to the Hitz Blitz

Welcome to the Hitz Blitz

Author: CJ and Shelley Hitz: Writing Mentor, Author Coach, Christian Writers September 1, 2026 Duration: 2:55

For a few years, Hitz Blitz was a private podcast. Short episodes recorded on the way to somewhere else, most of them under ten minutes. A blitz is defined in the dictionary as "a sudden, energetic, and concerted effort, typically on a specific task," and that's what these were meant to be. A quick burst of encouragement for your writing, not a full training.

Now we're opening the archive up here on the Kingdom Writers Podcast.

In this episode, Shelley explains what the Hitz Blitz was, why she's sharing it now, and what to expect. These land on Tuesdays, though not every Tuesday. They show up when there's one to give. Your regular Kingdom Writers episode still arrives on Thursday, same as always.

Some of these run five minutes. Some run two. They'll feel different from what you're used to hearing here, and that's the point.

There’s a particular kind of resistance that comes with writing something you believe matters-a mix of doubt, distraction, and sometimes, sheer weariness. Kingdom Writers: A Podcast for Christian Writers of All Genres meets you right in that space. Hosts CJ and Shelley Hitz, who work as writing mentors and author coaches, understand that the journey to finishing your book isn't just about craft; it's a spiritual undertaking. Each episode blends practical guidance with heartfelt spiritual encouragement, often weaving in prayers specifically for the hurdles writers face. Whether you're drafting a novel, a memoir, or a devotional, the conversation here rests on a core belief: your story has a purpose and you have a unique role to play. This podcast feels like a dedicated writing session with friends who get it, offering both the tools and the faith-filled perspective to keep moving forward. Tune in for honest talks about the writing life, all grounded in the encouragement that your work can impact lives in meaningful, lasting ways.
