10/5/2024: October Series: Sis, How Are You?" Women Focusing on Prioritizing Checking in on their Mental Health

Author: KMOJ-89.9 FM “The People’s Station” October 16, 2024 Duration: 59:16

This week, we’re shifting our focus to women as we dedicate the month to checking their mental health.

Our new series, titled "Sis, How Are You?" aims to create a safe space for sharing personal journeys about recognizing when help is needed and how to seek it on the path to mental wellness.

We will also discuss the significant effects of neglecting mental health, how to recognize when help is necessary, and the importance of taking action. Our conversations will explore the why and how behind our mental health shifts and what was required to gain a new perspective on life.

We'll reflect on how this journey has impacted us personally, emotionally, and in our relationships with others.

Additionally, we’ll highlight the importance of healthy relationships and friendships and their influence on family dynamics and overall life satisfaction.

We will also identify critical resources and explore how we can all become vessels for positive change—helping others improve their mental health and becoming effective leaders supporting their healing journey.

From the studios of KMOJ-89.9 FM “The People’s Station” in Minneapolis comes KMOJ's Community Viewpoint, a series of conversations rooted in nearly five decades of community connection.
