Campus Voices - Matt Waite discusses AI

Author: Rick Alloway December 7, 2023 Duration: 53:05

Ongoing advancements in generative artificial intelligence (AI) present both opportunities and challenges for journalists and academics, among others. Matt Waite, a Professor of Practice in the UNL College of Journalism and Mass Communications, taught a course in the fall semester of 2023 to examine the various ways AI is (and should be) used in media and education. He visited with KRNU's Campus Voices to share some of what he and his students learned, and to present an example of how AI can mimic vocal characteristics as well as generate text and visuals.
