Tania Torea | The Lord Knows Your Heart

Tania Torea | The Lord Knows Your Heart

Author: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints April 7, 2021 Duration: 31:54
"The most important thing I'd love women to know is that Heavenly Father loves (you), of course, and that He wants to be in the details of your life. He wants to be invited in to help. He knows our hearts, and He knows the things that bring us joy, and He really wants to be a part of that." In this episode we talk with Tania Torea, the Assistant Communication Director for the Church's Pacific Area based in New Zealand. Tania shares how her faithful and courageous ancestors and the beautiful customs and traditions from her Maori culture have influenced her for good. Through personal experience, Tania reminds us that the Lord knows the desires of our hearts, and through prayer we can bring about miracles in our lives and receive peace and help in times of difficulty. Within the vast tapestry of faith, individual voices create the most enduring threads. The Latter-day Saint Women Podcast focuses on these voices, weaving together personal narratives and spiritual insights from women across the globe. This isn't a lecture series, but a collection of conversations and stories that feel like sitting down with a thoughtful friend. You'll hear from historians exploring the lives of pioneering women whose choices helped build communities, and you'll listen to contemporary members discuss how they navigate modern challenges with gospel principles. Each episode of this podcast feels grounded and real, addressing topics like resilience, service, discipleship, and personal revelation through the lens of everyday experience. The common thread is a lived faith, presented without pretense. It’s a space for reflection on what it means to be a woman of faith in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, connecting the legacy of the past with the living testimony of the present. Tuning in regularly, you encounter a diverse chorus of perspectives, each contributing to a richer understanding of spiritual life. The discussions here are meant to uplift, validate, and sometimes gently challenge, always centering on the personal journey within a shared belief.
