Harley-Davidson has added two very different, but distinctly old-school, motorcycles to its 2026 lineup with the new Deadwood and the return of the legendary Super Glide. Both bikes lean heavily into Harley-Davidson history while combining that styling with the modern Softail platform, Milwaukee-Eight power, selectable ride modes, and current rider-safety technology. The Deadwood is an entirely new name inspired by the stripped-down motorcycles and independent riders associated with the post-World War II era and the Black Hills, while the Super Glide brings back one of the most recognizable names in Harley history. The 2026 Harley-Davidson Deadwood may be the more interesting of the two because Harley has given it a personality unlike anything else currently in the cruiser lineup. Finished in Denim Black with orange tank graphics, the Deadwood is blacked out from the front end and controls to the engine, exhaust, and tank console. A solo tuck-and-roll seat, smoked chopped windshield, clean fenders, black tubeless laced wheels, and a shortened rear monoshock create its low, slammed appearance. Underneath the vintage-inspired styling is a Milwaukee-Eight 117 Classic engine, five-gallon fuel tank, selectable ride modes, and Harley-Davidson Rider Safety Enhancements. Harley says the inspiration goes back to riders who stripped unnecessary parts from their motorcycles after World War II, while the Deadwood name and marketing tie the motorcycle directly to Sturgis and the Black Hills. U.S. MSRP starts at $17,999.
The 2026 Super Glide, meanwhile, reaches even deeper into Harley-Davidson history. Fifty-five years after the original 1971 FX Super Glide helped establish the factory-custom concept, Harley has revived the name with a motorcycle designed to immediately remind riders of Willie G. Davidson's original creation. White Onyx Pearl paint, stretched vintage FX tank graphics with red-and-blue striping, extensive chrome, tubeless laced wheels, chrome mini-ape handlebars, mid controls, and a five-gallon teardrop tank deliver the retro look. Power comes from the Milwaukee-Eight 117 Classic, rated by Harley at 98 horsepower and 120 lb-ft of torque in the U.S. specification. Modern touches include selectable ride modes, rider safety enhancements, an adjustable front brake lever, and traditional-looking tank-mounted instrumentation backed by a multifunction LCD display.
What really makes the Super Glide stand apart is its exclusivity. Harley-Davidson is producing just 2,500 individually serialized 2026 Super Glide motorcycles worldwide, with the model introduced as a Special Edition celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States. With a U.S. starting MSRP of $15,999, it is also positioned below the Deadwood despite its limited-production status. Together, these two motorcycles show Harley-Davidson taking a decidedly heritage-driven approach: the Deadwood creates a new model around the stripped-down attitude of post-war custom motorcycles and the Black Hills, while the Super Glide resurrects a name and styling cues that helped define factory customization more than half a century ago.
