Housing codes and consumer protection laws play a huge role in shielding tenants from unfair practices, and we highlighted how this protection extends across different contexts, including employment situations like the case of migrant farmworkers. We also touched on how the rise of the sharing economy, particularly platforms like Airbnb, has challenged traditional rental housing laws. This was a hot topic, as it really shows how law is struggling to keep up with technological change.
