  • Taryn Dickens has just competed at the National Biathlon Championships. Taryn chatted about the preparation and the hope of competing at the 2026 Winter Paralympics in Cortina in Italy.  
  • Ben Tullipan, from Empower Golf, invited all to over 500 free come’n’try opportunities each year around Australia - with qualified coaches and caddies.  
  • Nathan Pepper from the SANFL, updated us on the APM employment League and Novita AFL wheelchair League, coming to the "pointy" end of the season, and the preparation for the AFL Open later in October.  
  • Pam Mitchell, Counsellor, spoke about family members being involved celebrating the success ,or otherwise, of individuals in sport and politics.   
  • Dr Claire Iseli, from the Eye and Ear Hospital, shared news and events about the Hospital's 40th anniversary: its origins; successes; and the difference it is making to people's lives and their families.  
  • Margaret Rozman, Co-CEO for  the National Nutrition Foundation, launched their Healthy Eating Advisory Service (HEAS), a free online course for cooks; chefs and educators for youngsters in day care.  
  • Paul Bird, CEO Brain Wave Foundation, invited all to take part in the “Ride for the Kids” in October, raising money and awareness for kids with childhood brain conditions, and their families.  
  • Dr Heleen Haitjema, co-founder, and Kate Stonor CEO Doctors For Nutrition, have just unveiled a free online assessment tool for healthier eating.
