  • Ben Hood, South Australian Shadow Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, 
    responded to the change in legislation for e-scooters (Personal mobility devices, are now being allowed on streets and footpaths); the amount for the taxi subsidy scheme; and the changes to access cabs and choosing your preferred driver.  
  • Leslie Heagney, Fundraising and Business Development Manager 
     invited all to enter the 2025 Braille House Dickinson Memorial Literary Competition - this is the 10th edition.  
  • Brent Matthews was part of the unveiling of the new Guide Dogs Queensland Kitchen Hub. This kitchen is accessible and inclusive; enhancing independence thanks to the generous support from Community Bank Samford.  
  • Felicity Steer, artist, painter, warmly encouraged you to come along to Felicity's SALA's Exhibition “The Affirmation” South Henley Newsagency and Post Office 
    47 Henley Beach Rd, Henley Beach South.  You can also see Felicity's creative skills and passion painting live.  
  • Leisure Link’s own councillor, Pam Mitchell, spoke about diabetes and the sometimes stigma of being diagnosed with diabetes type 1 in particular - during this  diabetes awareness week 
  • Aaron Chia, CEO for Guide Dogs SA & NT, Launched Pawgust 2025 - raising money and awareness for guide dogs and their services. 
  • Monique Russell, Account Manager for Blend Creative, along with talented artist, Taumaline Wetherill, were very excited about their SALA Exhibition, “Threads of Connection” and the disco to open it.
