Episode 205: Jessyca Reynolds

Author: Dr. Brian Lenzkes July 3, 2024 Duration: 1:19:57

Thank you for tuning in for another episode of Life's Best Medicine. Jessyca Reynolds is a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and Life Coach who has over 10,000 hours of coaching experience in the last six years working with hundreds of clients. At age 41, she had all but given up on life. She was taking 17 pills a day for bulimia, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, chronic migraine, bladder disease, and other ailments. She spent every day completely consumed by food addiction and bingeing. She was 309 lbs, the highest weight of her life. Her high blood pressure put her at severe risk for stroke and heart attack. She decided she had to change if she wanted to live. She was tired of missing out on life. A drastic change in diet to a Ketogenic lifestyle was the beginning of her total transformation.

In this episode, Dr. Brian and Jessyca talk about…

  • Jessyca's personal health journey and discovery of low carb
  • Why sustainability is a key aspect of a successful diet
  • The importance of dealing with and recognizing emotional/psychological strongholds in your life that are keeping you from making positive changes in your life
  • Compulsive eating and the power of self talk
  • Learning to recognize and combat the voice of the enemy in your life
  • How to recognize when you are living in despair—when you have given up fighting
  • What it means to walk in authority
  • The disastrous power of shame and the healing power of community
  • Why it really is true the truth (and speaking the truth) will set you free (and how it practically does this)
