Lightning⚡️Ventures Syndicate Q&A with Bitcoin Beach Wallet CEO and Co-founder of Galoy Chris Hunter. Soon to be rebranded as Badge, a Bitcoin first neobank for El Salvador and LATM markets, they have been firing on all cylinders since we first invested in December 2021. Badge has a lofty goal of becoming the #1 Bitcoin Bank in Latin America. In terms of El Salvador, the aim is to be the #1 bank in the country by 2030. Wow! 2024 expansion includes Honduras, Guatemala, and Costa Rica. They are already a leading #finance app in El Salvador with over 100,000 downloads and rave reviews. The recent implementation of StableSats (by Galoy) allows people to avoid volatile price movements and maintain a stable balance without the need for a "stablecoin." Bitcoin Beach Wallet is already fully registered with El Salvador's Central Bank. We have a lot to cover here and it's always good to catch up with Chris Hunter. Just getting back from the 2nd annual Adopting Bitcoin conference in El Salvador, Bitcoin Beach Wallet made some serious waves out there. The packed product roadmap, next phases, and big-picture opportunities are very exciting. This is our first follow-on investment for Lightning⚡️Ventures.
