Lightning⚡️Ventures Syndicate Q&A with Cloaked Wireless. Co-founders Jonathan Wilkins (CEO) and Jeremy Hill (President) sit down to talk about the multi-billion dollar industries they are aiming to disrupt. These include MNOs, VPNs, ISPs & more. For starters....... Cloaked Wireless is a nationwide 5G MVNO wireless service that is focused on privacy. They claim to have solved the plaguing SIM swap/port out attack vulnerability that has become increasingly more common in recent years. Their second offering is an open-source, VPN service/Tor alternative built over the Lightning Network. LN and Cloaked Node operators will be able to earn additional Bitcoin by anonymizing data. This leverages the Bitcoin ecosystem to browse the internet privately. They forecast the average routing node operator will earn 10x more by simply upgrading his node to perform these additional tasks. Finally, this all comes together with the future option to upgrade the hardware by adding a femo cell tower and increase earnings by further supporting their wireless 5G "mesh style" network.
Who is working on this? 🏆 Adam Back is a confirmed technical advisor for the company along with Rusty Russell, Austin Hill, and another who cannot be named at this time. Cloaked Services is getting support and feedback from multiple leaders in the cryptography and blockchain community like Greg Maxwell, Matt Corralo, and Ian Goldberg. Their previous investors include the former CFO of Blockstream, Hammie Hill, Brad Mills, Jay Gould, Michael Terpin, and John Falkory.
