IBEX is in its first stages of integrating Lightning at Grupo Salinas, one of LATAM’s largest conglomerates with 18K+ employees that ‘handles nearly 50% of remittances into Mexico.’ IBEX has already reached 5M of its users via its retail operations.
IBEX has already connected millions of users to the Lightning Network with existing clients including Starbucks, Dominos, KFC, Subway, Wendy’s, and Pizza Hut in El Salvador. If you heard about El Salvador’s adoption of Bitcoin, and its Chivo wallet ecosystem, IBEX’s infrastructure was an important piece of the puzzle in setting that up.
