S3 E12 The Disposable Child -Justice for Brandy Hutchins

Author: Travis hartford November 28, 2022 Duration: 52:14
On Saturday, November 12, 1988, the body of 14 year old Brandy Dawn Hutchins was found under an abandoned house in the small town of Coal Hill, AR.  She had been shot once, execution style, in the forehead-just above her right eye.  Her body was discovered after some hunters found a purse near the abandoned house and began to investigate further. Someone had thrown boards on top of her body in order to hide her.  Brandy was my cousin and to this day, no one has been charged with her murder.  That was over 34 years ago. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/locatingthelost/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/locatingthelost/support

Travis Hartford hosts Locating the Lost, a journey into the shadows where facts fade and questions linger. Each episode is a deep, respectful exploration of cases that have slipped through the cracks-individuals who have vanished without a trace, cold cases that defy conventional explanation, and occasional brushes with the unexplained that surround such events. The focus here is on the human stories at the heart of the mystery, told with a careful balance of detail and empathy. You’ll hear Travis delve into the available evidence, discuss the theories that have emerged over time, and often sit with the unsettling reality that some puzzles remain incomplete. This isn't about sensationalism; it's about the persistent search for answers in the face of silence. For anyone drawn to the complexities of true crime and the haunting possibility of the paranormal, this podcast offers a thoughtful, compelling space to consider what happens when someone simply disappears. The atmosphere is one of quiet investigation, making it a distinctive voice in the genre.
