PLAYOFF PUSH: Can Miami, SMU, and Louisville EARN Two CFP Bids for the ACC This Year?

ACC Football powers up for a two-bid College Football Playoff run—can Miami, SMU, or Louisville secure a spot on the national stage? Julian Council and Kenton Gibbs spotlight Miami’s elite roster led by transfer quarterback Darian Mensah and Cooper Barkate, SMU’s explosive offense powered by Kevin Jennings, and Louisville’s season-defining clash with Ole Miss. Edge rusher Clev Lubin and running back Isaac Brown headline Louisville’s postseason hopes, while SMU’s rugged schedule and Rhett Lashley’s winning pedigree keep them firmly in the hunt.

Dark horse contenders including Georgia Tech, Cal, and NC State enter the conversation with intriguing playoff scenarios built on Power 4-heavy schedules, relentless ground games, and star quarterbacks like JKS. The Clemson Tigers’ path hinges on splitting matchups with LSU and Miami, overcoming depth concerns, and solving lingering quarterback battles. Which ACC teams have the roster, schedule, and coaching edge to crash the CFP this fall?
