In this episode, our scouts dig into USHS-Prep (high school) hockey and break down what makes scouting prospects from that level so challenging in projecting NHL upside and roles. First, they introduce the league and explain, in broad terms, what makes scouting it challenging and why players choose that path in their development. Next, they introduce a handful of drafted prospects who played in USHS-Prep in their draft years, including Scott Morrow, Cade Webber, John Farinacci, and Shai Buium! Last, they dig into the games of some of the defensemen who recently graduated to the NHL, completing their development paths from Prep school, such as Jordan Harris, Jayden Struble, Jackson LaCombe, and Mason Lohrei.
