Oklahoma Sooners get a major boost as Jake Maikkula’s knee injury turns out to be just a sprained MCL—not a season-ending setback. Can the offensive line hold strong with Maikkula sidelined and upcoming matchups against Michigan, Georgia, and Texas on the horizon?
Host Jay and O-line analyst Landon Tengwall break down Caleb Nitta’s readiness to step in at center, diving into Nitta’s film against LSU and how his high-IQ playstyle could anchor the revamped line. Key topics include the depth chart shakeup, Noah Best’s rapid rise, and offensive line cohesion under Bill Bedenbaugh. Insightful analysis covers technique, run and pass protection challenges, and the crucial timeline for Maikkula’s recovery. How will the Sooners’ new-look front handle early-season tests—and could a standout backup force tough decisions when Maikkula returns?
