Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood faces mounting pressure as Oklahoma Sooners’ Brent Venables looks to exploit his weaknesses. Can Underwood bounce back after a shaky opener, or will Venables’ defense force a pivotal change under center? John Williams breaks down the odds of a Michigan QB switch, Oklahoma’s strategic edge, and the broader implications of a win over this Big Ten powerhouse.
Key points include Lloyd Avant’s emergence as RB1, the potential impact of Michael Fasusi’s injury on the Sooners’ run game, and whether two Oklahoma wide receivers can realistically eclipse 1,000 yards this season. Williams also weighs coaching hypotheticals—would anyone really swap Venables for Kirby Smart or Curt Cignetti? Get the inside track on lineup decisions, play-calling trends, and why beating Michigan could set the tone for the Sooners’ playoff push.
