Oklahoma Sooners' playoff hopes hang by a thread after a tough loss to Michigan, with Paul Finebaum declaring their season “over” unless they can topple Georgia or Texas. Can Brent Venables reignite Oklahoma’s postseason dreams, or are fans destined for disappointment? John Williams and Jay Smith weigh the high stakes as OU’s margin for error disappears, scrutinizing the offensive struggles under Ben Arbuckle and the pressure building ahead of the Red River Showdown.
Key topics include Oklahoma’s defensive performance against Michigan, Jayden Jackson and PJ Adeboware’s impact, and the need to fix missed tackles and offensive identity issues. The hosts explore the importance of exploiting 12 personnel, embracing a physical run game, and learning from Michigan’s approach to wear down opponents. With matchups against Georgia and Texas looming, every snap could define the Sooners’ season. Will Venables’ squad rise to the challenge, or is Finebaum’s prediction on the mark?
