Oklahoma Sooners fortify their defensive line with the surprise addition of Braxton Fely from Boise State just hours before game day. Does this injection of veteran talent signal a deeper rotation ahead for Brent Venables' squad this season?
John Williams and Jay Smith break down the Fely acquisition, what it means for Oklahoma’s defensive tackle depth, and how the Sooners plan to distribute snaps among young standouts like Trent Wilson and Nigel Smith. The conversation spotlights Oklahoma football's matchup against the UTEP Miners, stat predictions for Xavier Robinson and Elijah Thomas, and the strategic value of experienced transfers. Listener mailbag questions fuel debates on running back rotations, special teams threats like Lloyd Avant, and whether the Sooners can pad the scoreboard. Can Oklahoma’s new faces deliver veteran impact and keep the team playoff-ready all season?
