See You Tomorrow at the Food Court / Mob Psycho 100

The World Cup is going on! Amongst the human atrocities and corruption that led us all to this point, I have been greatly enjoying the tournament following it for the second time ever (at least the men's iteration). Fortunately, Korea beat Portugal to get into the knockout round. Unfortunately, they were immediately destroyed by Brazil. But the future looks bright for Korea. Kim Moonhwan did well at right back; Kim Minjae seems a star at center back; Hwang Heechan, Cho Guesung, and Hwang Uijo looked great in attack. And of course Son Heungmin is great as always. Dae-han-min-guk. This episode, we're talking about Shinichiro Nariie's See You Tomorrow at the Food Court published by Yen Press and ONE's Mob Psycho 100 published by Dark Horse. See You Tomorrow at the Food Court credits: Translation: Ko Ransom Lettering: Alexis Eckerman Mob Psycho 100 credits: Translation: Kumar Sivasubramanian Lettering and Retouch: John Clark Edited: Carl Gustav Horn The song you heard on this episode was "99" by MOB CHOIR from the Mob Psycho 100 anime. Every three weeks, the hosts of Manga in Your Ears-Kory, Helen, and Apryll-settle in for a conversation that bridges the classic and the contemporary. Their format is straightforward but deeply engaging: they dive into one manga series that has already reached its conclusion, offering a full perspective on its story and impact. Then, they shift to discuss a different series that is either freshly finished or still unfolding in real time, capturing the immediate excitement of ongoing publication. This dual focus creates a unique rhythm, allowing for thoughtful retrospectives alongside the lively speculation that comes with following current releases. The discussions feel less like formal reviews and more like the kind of talk you’d have with friends who share a deep passion for the medium, dissecting character arcs, artistic choices, and narrative twists. Produced by Taiiku Podcast, this series sits comfortably at the intersection of Arts and Books, designed for anyone who appreciates the depth and diversity of manga storytelling. Tuning into this podcast is like getting a curated, bi-monthly guide to what’s worth reading, from timeless titles you might have missed to the latest chapters everyone is talking about.
