Today's conversation is with Dustin Heiner who is the founder of Master Passive Income. When you're running a real estate business, whether it's one property that you rent out on Airbnb, or you run a commercial building, or you're renting it out full time, there are so many different things you need to know to have it go smoothly. And after 30 years of real estate investing I've learned just how much having a team of people at your side can save you time, money, and headaches. I've invited Dustin on the show to share about an upcoming conference he's hosting in Phoenix in March of 2022 and you can learn more about what he's planning and how it can help all of us who invest or want to invest in the future in real estate. - Now, if I would've stopped back in 2006, I said - "Oh, no, I don't want to do that". I wouldn't be where I am today. So all that to say, there are... There are some things you have to navigate through, you have to know how to do it. But the best thing is to learn from people like you Leisa. Everybody needs to learn that there are ways to do it, to be successful, that if you follow the fads of flipping houses or follow the fads of, you know, hoping for appreciation. And if you also follow the idea that now's the worst time to invest, like it's going to crash, you're going to miss the boat. And here's my, my thought, I love this quote - "When is the best time to plant a tree?" Well, it was 20 years ago. The next best time is literally today. As long as you're planting the right tree, you're doing it the right way that people have already done. They've proven time and time again that this is the successful way to do it. You're going to be planting the right tree. So, I say right now is, is the best time to literally don't invest is literally right now...
- And I'm like, man, he is a great guy, he's got a great business. We see eye to eye. We love hanging out together. Let's start a mastermind. And from that, it's been literally what, two to three years now, and our businesses have grown. Just because, we grow together. So all that to say, if you've never been a part of the community, you're missing out on exponentially, speeding up, not just growth, but even timeframe.
Let's say you want to start investing in real estate and you haven't gotten started, but you're going to do it by yourself. It's going to take you a lot of time 'cause you're going to have to learn through the school of hard knocks. You're going to have to figure it out on your own. Why not be among other people who are going to help you speed up the timeframe instead of taking, let's say guess around a number - two years to invest the way you want to. Maybe take six months because these people are already done it. So it's going to speed it up. It's going to make everything better. And, you're also not going to have naysayers in there. You're going to have people who are going to say, you know what, I've done it. This is how I did it and how you can do it as well. So that's the great thing about being around other people who are like-minded. They've already done it that are going to help you along the way.
