According to the Apple site, it states that "Apple worked with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for a number of years to receive De Novo classification for the ECG app and the irregular heart rhythm notification, making the features available over the counter." Apple also states that "The irregular rhythm notification feature was recently studied in the Apple Heart Study. With over 400,000 participation".  You might be asking the question as it pertains to SmartWatches. It is a technology that is available today to Monitor and tracks your health and wellness. Because all these things can also affect your heart. Correct me if I'm wrong. Please Follow this podcast Minimalisttech.news IG: minimalist_t3 Twitter: DaveLara_WD

Hosted by David Lara, Minimalist Tech News cuts through the noise of the daily tech cycle. This isn't about chasing every gadget launch or spec sheet. Instead, the podcast focuses on how we can engage with technology more intentionally, stripping away the unnecessary complexity and anxiety that often comes with it. You'll hear discussions about practical ways to simplify your digital setup, protect your personal data, and make sense of the larger shifts in software and services without feeling overwhelmed. Each episode aims to unpack a single idea, whether it's the real cost of a subscription model, the implications of a new privacy policy, or a clearer way to understand a trending tech concept. The goal is to provide a grounded, thoughtful perspective that helps you decide what tools and services actually serve your life, rather than the other way around. Tune in for a calm, considered conversation that treats tech not as an endless stream of news, but as a landscape to navigate with clarity and purpose.
