Adam LaRoche is a former MLB first baseman who played 12 seasons with teams including the Atlanta Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Chicago White Sox. Born into a baseball family—his father, Dave LaRoche, was a pitcher, and his brother, Andy LaRoche, a third baseman—Adam achieved a .260 batting average, 255 home runs, and 882 RBIs during his career. In 2016, he made headlines by retiring from the White Sox, walking away from a $13 million contract to prioritize his family. Post-retirement, LaRoche co-owns the hunting show Buck Commander and is active in charitable endeavors.
