Jeff Brightwell Talks Soccer, Crossfit, and Sportscasting during COVID-19

Veteran Sports Broadcaster and CrossFit coach Jeff Brightwell joins Tim Van Horn and Brodee Scott.  

Brightwell, much like fellow Broadcaster and friend of the podcast Mike Watts, has made a name for himself through skill and versatility.  Jeff has extensive experience as a broadcaster in The CrossFit Games and The University of Memphis soccer, baseball, softball, football, and basketball.  He's also hosted coach's shows on television and radio.  He also served as the "Scoreboard Desk" anchor in our virtual match pitting Memphis 901 FC vs. Las Vegas Lights.

Brodee and Tim talk to Jeff about the current state of sports.  They also do a deep dive on the evolution of sports broadcasting, discussing how the internet has impacted the business.

Brightwell takes time to share some ways people can exercise with limited equipment.  Despite the closing of gyms during the coronavirus crisis, there are creative ways to do strength and conditioning workouts.  We appreciate broadcaster Jeff Brightwell dropping in for a chat via online app.

Soccer news has picked up in recent days.

No one knows if or when play will resume,  However, FIFA have chimed in with some contract and transfer rulings.  Tim and Brodee provide an overview.

While most people around the world are respecting the "stay at home" guidance, not everyone chose to do so.  A couple of prominent players in the Premier League are among the dissenters.  The guys will tell you who might have cost himself a big payday.

One Premier League player has used the current play stoppage to finish his military service.  Brodee and Tim have salute the man about to train with guns and tear gas.
