- The menu please: To menoú parakaló (In Greek: Το μενού παρακαλώ)
- A glass of (white) wine please: Éna potíri (lefkó) krasí parakaló (In Greek: Ένα ποτήρι (λευκό) κρασί παρακαλώ)
- Thank you/ Please: Efcharistó/ Parakaló (In Greek: Ευχαριστώ/ Παρακαλώ)
- Yes/No: Nai/'Ochi (In Greek: Ναι/'Οχι)
- How are you?/(very) well: Ti káneis?/(polý) kalá (In Greek: Τι κάνεις;/(Πολύ) καλά)
- Cheers/'Down it'= Stin ygeiá mas or the shorter version of Geiá mas/Áspro páto (In Greek: Στην υγειά μας/Γειά μας/Άσπρο πάτο)
- Shall we go for coffee: Páme gia kafe (In Greek: Πάμε για καφέ)
- Come (or used as 'Hey')/ See you later/ Chill: Ela/Ta léme/Chalará (In Greek:Έλα/Τα λέμε/Χαλαρά)
