Mac Markway Walks Away From Football | Nebraska Cornhuskers Football News

Mac Markway, Nebraska’s bruising defensive tackle, has officially walked away from football after five career-ending injuries and just one game this season — his first in three years. Once a highly-touted LSU tight end, Markway battled through pain, rehab, and doubt to return to the field, finding peace in stepping off the gridiron on his own terms. He’ll stay connected to the Huskers in a new role, ready to conquer life beyond pads and helmets — as Mac Markway, not just a player.
