Nebraska RBs Dominate Ground Game | Nebraska Cornhuskers Football News

Nebraska’s ground game exploded in Week 1, led by true freshman Jamal Rule’s 122 rushing yards and two TDs plus another score through the air — totaling over 160 yards from scrimmage. Mekhi Nelson added 64 rushing yards and a TD, plus another receiving touchdown, while Isaiah Mozee flashed explosiveness despite fewer carries. Together, the trio racked up 217 rushing yards and three TDs on just 31 carries — averaging a stellar 7 yards per carry — with PFF grades backing up their dominance. Meanwhile, Bowling Green struggled to establish its run game, relying on Austyn Dendy (60 yards, 1 TD) and Nakai Amachree (11 yards), both graded poorly by PFF. Nebraska looks poised for a strong next matchup with multiple RB threats, while Bowling Green must find more consistency on the ground to compete.
