New Retro Wave
Driving down a neon-lit highway at midnight, the soundtrack is everything. New Retro Wave is that soundtrack, a podcast channel from the NewRetroWave network that serves as a direct feed into the heart of the retrowave scene. This isn't just a collection of songs; it's an immersion into a culture that actively reimagines the sonic and aesthetic passions of the 80s and 90s for a modern audience. Each episode functions as a curated journey, blending pulsing synth melodies, driving beats, and cinematic atmospheres that feel both nostalgically familiar and thrillingly new. The podcast provides a vital platform for the artists defining this evolving genre, from established names to emerging talents pushing the boundaries. Since its foundation in late 2011, NewRetroWave has become a central hub for this movement, and this audio series is a core part of that mission. Tuning in, you'll experience more than music-you'll tap into the feeling of retro-futurism, of chrome and cathode rays, of stories told through arpeggiators and drum machines. It's the rebirth of a certain passion, meticulously crafted for your headphones. For anyone drawn to the glow of gridlines on a dark cityscape or the promise of a past future, this podcast offers a consistent and authentic portal.
