Season 4 Ep 15: Stop Compartmentalizing! Why Fully Honoring Yourself is a Leadership Act

Season 4 Ep 15: Stop Compartmentalizing! Why Fully Honoring Yourself is a Leadership Act

Author: Lisa Kuzman March 15, 2021 Duration: 11:18

If you asked me at the beginning of 2020, "Hey Lisa, are you honoring your true nature?" I probably would have said yes. But now, over a year later, I can see how showing up in this way, having these conversations, and speaking my thoughts and learnings aloud... well, it's opened a floodgate inside of me.

Here's the thing: once you start to fully honor yourself, there's no going back. I may not have expected this, but I'm leaning ALL the way in. I want to tell the truth in all areas of my life. I want to show up as 100% me everywhere I go.

And I want you to do it, too.

This week, let's talk about giving each other (and ourselves) permission to tell the truth about who we are. If more of us could do that, we could understand, know, appreciate each other better, in all of our complex glory. NDB, right?

You can find me being 100% me over at lisakuzman.com, and book a call if you want to chat. I'd also love for you to share how you're honoring yourself! Join us at my trauma-sensitive Facebook group for coaches and leaders: https://www.facebook.com/groups/764082764458292/

There's a quiet shift happening in how we think about authority and influence, and New Wave Leadership Podcast is right at the heart of it. Host Lisa Kuzman believes traditional, top-down leadership models have run their course, proving ineffective for today's complex world. Instead, this movement champions a much broader, more inclusive vision. Each episode digs into the real, often unspoken challenges that come with stepping into a role of influence, whether you're in a corner office, a community group, or simply leading your own life. The conversations here actively work to expand our definition of who gets to be a leader, arguing passionately for the necessity of diverse identities, perspectives, and lived experiences at the helm. You'll hear frank discussions about authenticity, the personal hurdles leaders navigate behind closed doors, and practical ideas for cultivating your own unique leadership identity without conforming to outdated standards. Tuning into this podcast feels like joining a necessary dialogue-one that moves beyond theory to explore what it genuinely means to show up and make an impact on your own terms.
