Traffic on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway has been severely disrupted for over 24 hours after a tanker carrying flammable propylene gas overturned around 5 pm on Tuesday in Khandala Ghat, causing a 12-kilometre jam. Emergency teams worked to contain the leak, with operations expected to continue till late evening. Vehicles were stranded overnight without food, water, or toilet access.

Meanwhile, President’s Rule in Manipur was lifted, allowing NDA leader Yumnam Khemchand Singh to become chief minister.

In Delhi the Supreme Court issued notices to the Election Commission of India and West Bengal’s Chief Election Officer on Mamata Banerjee’s plea challenging the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, citing 5.8 million deletions and over 150 deaths.
