Voting ended across Maharashtra’s Brihanmumbai and other municipal polls amid a controversy over indelible ink, with authorities dismissing opposition claims of tampering and ordering a probe as Mumbai recorded a 41% turnout.

The Supreme Court, meanwhile, stayed FIRs against Enforcement Directorate officials in the I-PAC raids case involving West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and ordered preservation of CCTV footage of the raids.

Separately, India is drawing up contingency plans to evacuate its nationals from Iran amid worsening unrest and safety concerns.
