In a major crackdown on cyber fraud, the Ministry of Home Affairs, through the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre, has launched a nationwide 'digital strike' targeting online scammers. Thousands of fraudulent accounts, SIM cards, and devices have been blocked, and malicious apps and suspicious content removed in coordination with telecom and law enforcement agencies.

Meanwhile, Telangana has passed a law to boost welfare and social security for gig workers, introducing registration, unique IDs, and support systems.

In Sikkim, the Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded six candidates for civic polls, while opposition parties have boycotted the elections over reservation concerns.
