The Election Commission announced Phase Three of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls across 16 states and three Union Territories, excluding Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh due to weather and operational challenges in high-altitude regions. More than 394 thousand Booth Level Officers will conduct door-to-door verification of nearly 367 million voters.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump invited his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping to visit the US on September 24 after high-level talks in Beijing focused on trade, artificial intelligence, Taiwan and global energy security.
